The questions we’re asked most, answered in a few lines. Still curious? Write to us any time.
It’s the share of fragrance oil in the bottle. The oil is what you smell; the alcohol simply carries it. Carrying more oil means the heavier base notes — woods, resins, musks — actually arrive, and the fragrance is still there hours later.
Every fragrance is blended in-house, in small batches, under the guidance of certified perfumers. Nothing is bought in and rebranded.
Part of our oils come from European fragrance houses, and part from Kannauj in India — a city that has been distilling fragrance oil for centuries.
Once blended, a fragrance is left to macerate for weeks so the oils settle into each other instead of merely sharing a bottle. It’s the easiest stage to skip — and the one we won’t.
Extrait de Parfum is the most concentrated category of fragrance. Lavender Valley is an Extrait de Parfum, offered in a 50 ml bottle.
